SEBI complaints & investor support

If you face an issue with a broker, depository participant, or other SEBI-registered intermediary, use the official grievance channels below. Keep written records throughout.

Official channels

Recommended escalation flow

  1. STEP 01

    Raise with intermediary

    Write to your broker, DP, or AMC first. Use their official complaint email or in-app grievance form.

  2. STEP 02

    Preserve evidence

    Save emails, ticket IDs, contract notes, ledger statements, and screenshots with timestamps.

  3. STEP 03

    Escalate to SCORES

    If unresolved in 30 days, file a complaint on SCORES with full evidence and the intermediary's response (or lack of).

  4. STEP 04

    Use SMART ODR

    For eligible disputes, you can move to online conciliation or arbitration via SMART ODR.
